Since 2008, the Kastanienhof Oldenburg has been the recognized operator of the Multigenerational House project. In close cooperation with the City of Oldenburg in Holstein, the Multigenerational House project develops and implements programs for all generations.

Since August 2015, Kastanienhof Oldenburg has been a partner of the Local Alliance, with a focus on Oldenburg and Lensahn.
To improve the lives of people with dementia and their families, the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women, and Youth has been funding local alliances for people with dementia nationwide as part of a pilot program since 2012.
By joining this initiative, we are bringing the issue of dementia to the forefront of the political and social agenda and offering concrete support and guidance to family members. Our close collaboration with the Alzheimer’s Association’s Dementia Competence Center continues to strengthen our region.
