Early Educational Intervention Services Provided by the Kastanienhof Early Intervention Center

Our offerings for families

This program offers support for families with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers (ages 0–6),

  • whose development is delayed,
  • who are at risk of being disadvantaged
  • who have a disability

 

The goal of outpatient early educational intervention is to identify a potential or existing disability as early as possible through appropriate diagnostic testing and to prevent or mitigate its effects through appropriate support.

Examples of methods and content in outpatient early childhood education and intervention

The methods and content of direct support are tailored to each child in a highly individualized and varied manner. Here are a few examples:

Promotion of language and means of expression

Strengthening daily living skills, e.g., providing support during mealtimes

Support for social and emotional development and coping

Creative activities, making music, as well as games and exercises focused on movement and body awareness
