Our daycare centers at Kastanienhof in Oldenburg!
85 children aged 3 to school age in 2 regular groups and 3 inclusion groups
Our inclusive preschool is located right next to the daycare center and Kastanienhof School. The classrooms are bright and child-friendly, so that children feel at home with us from day one. A large outdoor play area is perfect for playing. There are also plenty of quiet spaces for breaks.
As an inclusive preschool, we offer 12 spots for children with disabilities, who are cared for by trained educational staff.
A mixed-age family group with 15 children (ages 2 to 6) and a nursery group with 10 children under 3 years old.
Our Villa Kunterbunt is located in the former mayor’s villa and is situated on the edge of a residential neighborhood. As the name suggests, our Villa Kunterbunt offers plenty of opportunities for play and a spacious garden with lots of playground equipment for children to let off steam.
Integration groups: 7:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
Group 1: 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Group 2: 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Villa Kunterbunt: 7:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.

Registration is handled through the Schleswig-Holstein Daycare Database and directly at the daycare center on Kremsdorfer Weg for all facilities.

All children—regardless of the nature or severity of their disability, their background, or their social environment—can be admitted to our daycare centers, provided that conditions permit. For years, our work has been guided by integrative measures, and the goal of an inclusive society informs every aspect of our planning.

Our inclusive approach is based on a situational approach, meaning that topics currently on the children’s minds are incorporated into the curriculum and explored. The starting point for all our social-educational practices is the individual child at their current stage of developmental psychology, taking into account their needs within the group and family.
At Kastanienhof Oldenburg, we empower children to navigate complex situations, get involved, and develop their own perspectives so they can help shape society and the future in the spirit of sustainable development. We aim to foster tolerance and understanding in all children.
